Superintendent William E. Anderson
Superintendent William E. Anderson is the eldest of five children born to the Late Elder Joseph Anderson, Jr. and the Late Missionary Hilda M. Anderson. He was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a young boy, he learned to play the piano and began his ministry as the church musician of his father’s church, Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, and the St. Petersburg District. Being raised in a Christian home, attending Sunshine Band, Sunday School, Bible Band, YPWW, and YPWW Union helped to prepare him for the work of the ministry. He was saved during a revival conducted by his mother on August 22, 1982. He received the call into the ministry and was ordained as an Elder in March of 1986, under the tutelage of his father.
After the death of his father in July of 1987, he was appointed by the Late Bishop M. L. Sconiers as the pastor of Pentecostal Temple COGIC. The hand of God has been great upon him and he has continued to work for the upbuilding of God’s Kingdom. Superintendent Anderson is an anointed man of God and prayer warrior. He presently serves as the Superintendent of the Greater St. Petersburg District and is the founder, host, and Jurisdictional Prayer Coordinator of the Western Florida Prayer Line which can be heard on weekdays at 7:00 a.m. He also graciously serves as the Jurisdictional Adjutant under the leadership of Bishop W. J. Matheney and is well known throughout the city of St. Petersburg as a Master Barber and business owner.
